Red Pearl Kitchen 1940’s Shanghai glamour has collided with urban restaurant and bar to create the fabulous Red Pearl Kitchen located in the Gaslamp! The restaurant combines authentic Chinese/East Asian recipes with a hip and contemporary bar scene. Owners Tim and Liza Goodell (Tim was voted Food & Wine Magazine’s Best New Chef in 2000) like to have fun with their restaurants, both with the food and the design. They have created an atmosphere that is a bit provocative and contains little elements of excitement and interest for their guests. They have created a great gathering place in the heart of the historic Gaslamp Quarter that provides both locals and tourists with a compelling and exciting new dining experience.

The Dirty Birds Pub: Pretty Fly for a Beach Bar If you’re looking for a laid-back beach bar with refreshing brews, bodacious burgers and the best buffalo wings this side of the Mississippi, then skate, bike or drive to the Dirty Birds Pub in Pacific Beach. Located a stone’s throw from the Pacific Ocean, Dirty Bird makes its nest on Mission Blvd, across the street from Taco Surf and just down the road from Hennessey’s.
